HORRIBLE SERVICE! DID NOT DELIVER OUR ITEMS! FRAUDULENT COMPANY!

We bought leather sofa set, swivel chair and bedroom suite. We were promised delivery on our move in day (November 15th 2013) and until now we have still to receive our bedroom set. We waited over 3 weeks for our leather set, only after calling 15 times a day. We were promised free tickets to Vegas for our trouble, (yeah right) They are the BIGGEST frauds and expect you to pay in full before they will deliver your goods. They owe us over 5k and NEVER answer the phones or are at the (now closed) location.They said it was the manufactures issue however I got in contact with the manufacture who informed me that the order was NEVER placed and confirmed they have a bad reputation in the furniture industry. Stay far away...they may seem nice but they have their routine down to a perfect "A+"!

Bought a sectional and had to call 3 times a day for 3 months!!~!~

Lately I even went there and they have closed down under the pretext that there has been a flood! I had never come across such nasty people in my entire life! I had to complaint BBB and consumer protection and spend probably over 20 hours on the on the phone and emails till I got delivered and still one piece of it missing! better pay 300 extra and get it somewhere else!!! They have different locations and even the manager's phone is not set up to leave a message! when talking they are so friendly and when they need to do what they promised ///it is terrible!

Fraud made by Direct Furniture Outlet

1. On Nov 29, 2013, I went to 816**** Canada Inc O/A Direct Furniture Outlet, located at 6185 Tomken Road, Unit 1&2 Mississauga, ON, L5T 1X6. 2. I talked with Jesse, the owner of the company who said so, signed the purchasing contract with him for the furnitures I would buy. He then issued me the invoice (Invoice # 2287 attached as supporting document). 3. After Jesse issued invoice , I paid the full amount according to the invoice in cash.       Total cost on invoice is $3552.00 4. According to the contract, the furniture would be delivered to my home before Christmas , Dec 24, 2013. 5. From that date, I only received several emails responding to my inquiries of the delivery date,  Jesse Lakhani ( directfurnitureoutlet@***.com)  replied to my emails but never confirmed any delivery date. 6. On Feb 15, 2014, I went to the company and found the company was locked with the Notice of Distress on the entrance door issued by the landlord. The owner of the company owned rent to the landlord,  therefore the company was closed and all left furniture were taken as collateral by the landlord. 7. On the same day at home, I did google search of this company, I found lots of complaints toward this company at http://www.pissedconsumer.com Unto dates, there are 13 complaints with claimed loss at $16,498. Most of the complaints are non-delivery or making lies to the customers. 8. The most recent email I received from directfurnitureoutlet@***.com was Feb 16, 2014 who wrote to me : "I will review your file and get back by Wednesday". Unfortunately I didn't get any response , so I decided to claim this company for the money I fully paid on Nov 29, 2013. 9. For the court reference, the company's website www.directfurnitureoutlet.ca  is still active.

Still Owing

We purchased a lazy boy like leather couch, love seat and chair in November, 2013. There was a deal on and although we have never done this before, we paid cash in full. We were supposed to receive the furniture before Christmas but it never arrived. We kept calling, dropped in to the store frequently and there were always excuses as to why we weren't getting the furniture. We even met people waiting to get into the Brampton store whose situations were similar to ours. I think we were lucky because between Christmas and New Years we did receive the love seat and the chair. We were totally surprised. We have never received the couch. It seems these people have moved or gone out of business or in hiding, not sure which.

Scammers - Worst Customer Service

Buyer Beware ~ Please Share if you live in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) Direct Furniture Outlet accepted my money and then preceded to provide the absolute Worst Ever Costumer Service. Read More or just share to warn others not to go there ! I paid for a 3 piece couch set Friday afternoon at their warehouse closing sale and was told they would call Sunday or Monday for delivery but they did not, no call was received. Monday afternoon, I went back to the store and was simply ignored until finally asking the woman at the desk to see a manger at which point I was then instead treated very rudely and told they were just making calls now to set up delivery appointments & I had to wait. Poorly communicated information or my misunderstanding - I thought they would deliver the furniture Sunday or Monday - so I left - not feeling very good or hopeful about the call for delivery coming but rather very uncomfortable about the money spent and lack of customer service not to mention the store is closing and I have nothing to show for my money except a piece of paper - the invoice. Monday evening still no call for delivery - Tuesday again no call for delivery so I go back to the store on Wednesday and I stood in the office for several minutes waiting for any one of the numerous staff there to acknowledge my presence and by request I did finally speak with a manager who arranged for the delivery to be the next day, Thursday 2-9 PM. Nice. Only it did not happen !! A woman called me at 5 pm on Thursday to cancel because their driver did not show up and said my furniture would be delivered Friday instead. Courtesy call, yes - although she certainly was not any more polite than in person and then of course along comes Friday - No Delivery & No Call ! Saturday - No Delivery & No Phone Call, Sunday - No Delivery & No Phone Call & Monday - No Delivery & No Phone Calls either !! Add to all this that there was no answer at either of the 2 phone numbers found on my invoice all weekend and I was feeling stressed so called incessantly ... starting to feel *** - why did I spend my money and trust them ? Tuesday, more than a week past purchasing the furniture, having no other choice I went back again to the store where I was treated even more rudely than before ... I asked for the manager, politely although it may have been a little abrasive since they had been rude to me before and they knew why I was there again already - not a happy customer. I waited a long time for someone to even respond that I would have to wait at least fifteen minutes, for the manager and so as I waited I decided to dial the number which had not been answered all weekend and see if it was even in this office ! I listened to the phone on the desk ringing while 3 employees just completely ignored it !!! A little annoyed, I indicated that it was me calling gesturing to the phone and that I had tried all weekend to reach someone at that number ... the response was ~ get this ~ they were helping "me" so could not answer ... Hello ? Helping me ? Really ? I was standing there waiting for the manager but no one was helping me - & what about the 100's of calls placed over the past 3 days ?!?!? I asked for a refund and the customer service all of a sudden found at that moment an ability to stop gossiping amongst themselves - in their foreign language - about my situation while I stood there waiting - letting me know very clearly that a refund was not an option. Don't get me wrong - I love language and culture - speak 3 languages myself but never in front of others - just so they can't understand !?!? The Direct Furniture representatives collectively couldn't respond to my request to know what has happened to the furniture I paid for or the delivery they never made - or the follow up call that didn't happen for 3 days to reschedule but they had no trouble snapping off that I wouldn't be getting my money back. At this point I was seriously getting pissed off - about the way they were treating me more than even the money or the furniture - and indicated I would call my credit card company and report the transaction as fraud - they took my money, did not deliver and then on top of it they think it's OK to just treat customers like that !?!? I didn't say it out loud but was definitely wondering what other recourse there is - that doesn't come with a free pass to jail ... The woman I spole to to see the manager turned her back on me, mid sentence and walked away ignoring me AGAIN & fortunately this is when some young delivery guy spoke to me and in an effort to resolve the problem he accepted responsibility for the delivery not happening on Friday, apologized on behalf of the company and promised to deliver my furniture the next day and when asked he even gave me his cell phone number for assurance ... that is all I wanted - a respectful answer to how they would correct the problem. Good Guy, funny thing about that is I learned after he does not work for Direct Furniture - just a delivery company - dealing as best as possible with many unsatisfied customers apparently. He indicated it would most likely be his last delivery of the day and wouldn't be until late evening; then the next day when he called at noon to say he wanted to keep his word but delivery had to be earlier or he wouldn't be able to do it today ... I left work early to meet him. I repeat, this was the only reasonable customer service andcame from the delivery guy who Does NOT even work for this company - just a nice guy stuck in a bad situation with a lot of unhappy customers. Guess what though - it does not end there ! The 3 piece couch set delivered was wrong !!! They sent 2 love seats and no couch ?? Again, the delivery guy was polite and I patiently without having any other choice excepted his explanation that it was a mistake and they will come and change the 2nd love seat for the proper couch - next week !! He would not let me speak to his dispatch who directed him to leave the furniture and tell me they would come again next week nor was he able to leave me any notice indicating this - I wrote a BIG Note on the invoice detailing the wrong furniture was delivered and the exchange pending for the first week in November before signing his copy of the invoice otherwise he was taking the furniture back. He did give me the managers names Jessie & Nick and direction to reach them at the Brampton store, I tired to call there and was told I had to call head office where again they do not answer the phone !!!!! I went to the store again today to see if anyone would provide some assurance that they will in fact be correcting the problem next week and found the doors locked and the business no longer there. I am still waiting (with little hope) to see if they will in fact even bother to deliver my couch at all !?!?

Waiting on couches n heard so many lies

I bought couches DEC 26 I was told I could pick up the following week I went there twice n store was closed a few days later a friend went for me and realized. They altered their invoice copy it was not the same as mine it said on Thiers I had to wait 5-7 weeks mean while mine did not say that they told me a week for pick up anyway they said couches would be read Jan 22 I repeatedly called n no one ever answered. I got a hold of the bosses number Jessie he told me now couches would not be ready til March now I said I want my money he said OK pick up in. 5-7 days then after. 7 days he told me new. Managers were taking over n I had to wait 2-3 weeks for refund so I went to store n doors were locked for not paying their rent now its almost march n I still have not got my money or couches I'm so mad I can't. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

STAY WAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!! They will *** left right and center with a smile! They do not answer your calls, i seriously called over 40 times in a row one time, we tracked down the owner during this process and told him that, he made us call in front of him twice- no one answered, he got on his phone and called and within the first ring the store picked up. The first set delivery day no one showed or even called us, after finally reaching somone we finally re booked it for the following week thurs 2-9, at noon they called and canceled. I then had to spend all day fighting with them, i wanted a refund for my delivery charge since i now missed two days of work and still had not received the furniture. During these calls i was lied to multiple times,The "head office" (which is only a young girl working at home-head office doesnt even exist) told me the owner was away until next week but wouldnt get back to me for 2 weeks because he was very busy...GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! the store i purchased it from admitted she lied to me and he was in town but wouldnt speak to me.... we finally tracked him down in mississauga at BLOWOUT FURNITURE 6185 Tomken rd- if anyone ever needs to find him JESSIE!! Anyways he promised that it would be there on the sunday 4-8. that day at 7pm he called and said it in fact wouldnt be coming, we told him we were comin in tom for a full refund. ( which i already tried to do with the store, and they told me " there will be no refund" when my fiance went again to see jessie for a refund, he wouldnt even aknowledge my fiance! STAY AWAY FrOM THIS PLACE, ITS NOTHING BUT A HEADACHE

I bought furniture against $3500 on Aug19, 2013, NO DELIVERY till todate

On August 19, 2013 we bought furniture from Direct furniture Outlet and had been waiting till to date. A part of that consignment was delivered, but the parts of the set were missing and promised to be delivered with rest of the materials. In spite of many calls that go unattended, no reply. Now they have closed their phones and their warehouse premises is empty. We went their Mississauga out let from where we bought that furniture, but its inexistent there. I paid through my credit card and now I am filing a "dispute a charge" to the credit card company for the reimbursement. I am sure these are fraudulent people and they are big frauds. they are stealing public money and authorities are criminally silent over the behavior of these cheaters. I request the authorities to take action against such fraudulent fake business organizations who they are playing with hard earned public money.

They do not supply anything bought from them. I am one of the victims. who has lost a big amount in a purchase from them.

Buyers beware of this company! You will continually be given the run around and be promised numerous delivery dates before you receive any of your purchases.

After a couple of months, I finally received my order. However, when I finally received my purchases, they gave me some incorrect products. They have been promising me since July 2013 that the correct product will be arriving. Till now I have not received it.

From what I'm reading front he other comments, sounds like I'm also out of luck now.

Took my money but didn't deliver furniture!

I went on Oct. 19th and bought a 3 piece living room set. They said 4-6 weeks delivery. This past Saturday was week 6 so i've been trying to call all week just to get an update on when I might receive it. The number on the invoice goes to voice mail and it is full so I can't leave a message. I called the Richmond Hill number and it is out of service. I was fortunate that I used my VISA so they are going to give me my money back and go after them for it. I am not going away quietly. I will do everything I can to take these guys down before they scam anyone else!

I too bought a sectional couch from this company in the Whitby Store, but unfortunately paid cash. I have called repeatedly regarding delivery and have been given the run around like every other story I am reading here.

I have been to the Scarborough site, accepted their promises of delivery and now it too is closed. I have called all four locations, two of which are disconnected, one went to fax and the other one said the answering machine needs to be activated. I would like to go to Pat Foran from CTV and have him crack down on these crooks. I am reading that they are in Mississauga at 6185 Tomken Road Units 1 and 2 under a new name "Blowout Furniture" Something has to be done.

It just isn't right that they can get away with this.

There has to be a way that we can all get together..there is strength in numbers. Please make a post and any ideas of how we can all work together.

I'm going through the SAME thing I feel so bad for you. I cuss myself daily for ordering furniture through them.

I ordered 1350 dollars of furniture, i'm sleeping on a floor and my sister's sleeping on a mattress. She got into an accident and she needs a bed. This company's inconsiderate and they have NO accountability. Their sales rep are taught a spiel and honestly i should've known better.

It's better to go to a big box store and purchase only because your time is worth more than their non apologetic attitude and no reply to voice mails. I'm reporting to Better business bureau ..

I hope other people file a complaint against too. PEOPLE WORK WAYYY TOO HARD FOR THEIR MONEY TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS

Direct Furniture Outlet - Purchased Sectional no delivery. Here's their Contact INFO!

Bought a sectional on Sept 13/13, from the Whitby store (asked for 50% down). Received phone call that store closed and to deal with Scarborough store. Apparently no one knows how to answer the phone at that store called for 3 weeks with no luck. Finally went to Scarborough store to get refund after almost 3 months of waiting for my couch guy refused to give me refund, gave me address of head office on Tomken Road in Mississauga (clearly not head office when I got there). Brampton store location is the head office. Went to Brampton store to see if anyone could help give me my refund and owner happened to be there with all his muscle (lol). Told him I wanted to cancel my order he didn't argue just went to give me a refund back on my debit card (which declined) had to give me money back from out of his pocket. Owners name is Jessie. If you would like your money back my advice is to go to the Brampton (245 Queen Street East, Brampton) store on a Saturday (about 12pm) and ask for Jessie.

I bought 8 pc bed set and kitchen table from brampton store on queen st on boxing day dec 26, 2013 for $1700... paid in full.

No delivery... no phones are activated....store closed.

Much like everyone else in these threads I purchased furniture from them and left a 60% deposit. No call, no trace from them and the Whitby store closed down. It took us 2 months but we tracked them down. They will give you fake numbers and addresses. We finally got our money back by going to 6185 Tomken Road Mississauga Units 1&2. The "Warehouse" has opened up under a new name and selling the exact furniture again and requesting 60% depostits. Take your receipt and visit the warehouse on a weekend. Ask for Nick or the owner and demand your money back!!!

i brought a bedroom set and pay cash to direct furnitue at Jane and Hy 7.They promised delivery before christmas. i went to the store several times it is closed.

There is a sign on the door that states due to water damage they have to close the store.This is a lie. I Went to the store last week and the furniture is not there anymore.The phone still ring but no answer.The Manager is very dishonest and will be caught soon.........E Ddd

I bought the furniture from Direct and was delivered yesterday. I am very happy and pleased.

As a matter of fact i recommended my friend to go visit them. I find the price very attractive.

Service may not be the best but hey you cant get everything.

Worst Customer Service EVER!!

We placed our order on Oct 3/13 & requested to put a rush on it (2 weeks, instead of 3-4) as we did not have any furniture in our new place. They told us they would "try" but it's just *** & I bet they didn't try at all! As of Oct 31/13, it would be 4 weeks! I was told that it would be GUARANTEED ready for pick-up Oct 29/13 (before it gets delivered to us later on). We were instructed to wait for a call from either the factory or delivery company to arrange a date & time when THEY will be in our area. On top of that, I also requested for 1 week notice to ensure I am able to book the elevator at our condo. I have to keep calling them every couple days (after 2 weeks passed) to follow up and each time they said they would call me back, which they never do or they call the secondary contact person (without calling the primary first, as requested). They are VERY unorganized, unprofessional, and have the worst customer service EVER!

I bought a bed room set from this company I put $1000.00 down each time i went back to pay off the balance they were close I kept calling them no answer i called the other stores no answer now am sleeping on the floor at six months pregnant. I am in the possess of charging them I am a single mother and this is NOT right. People should stay away. I got the flyer and we went to the location in Mississauga, they promise in 4 weeks to deliver but till now from the 19 October never heard about and we call no answer , what to do , we are single parent hardly make money ,can u help us , or some one tell us how to get our money,please,first they were at meyemer derive then they move to to Tomken street, my friend bought 3 pieces leather set and me sectional, I never know people can do this,rent warehouse put furniture and flyers then they steal from people their money

Worst experience ever!

We bought from the store in Concord a bedroom set. We've been told that the items are in the stock, and promised 7-10 days delivery. After 2 weeks we got nothing, and I have started calling the branch every day to verify where is our set and when we are going to get it. Every single time I have got two types of answers - we will call you back and someone from the delivery department will call you back. NEVER CALLED ME BACK! Oh, sorry, once they called me back to say that someone else will call me back.

We got the furniture, and everything's was fine. And the delay was only a week. It wasn't that bad experience if they would call me back as they promised me time after time.
